One of the enduing landmarks of Mumbai is Crawford Market. a large covered wholesale market built by the British. Most of the wholesale fruit and vegetable markets have moved out but its still a one stop mart for everything if you're planning a dinner party.
I am about to introduce you to some of my favourite shops. So let's go and step into FooDee Heaven!
Royal Dry Fruits:
for the freshest dry fruits. Source of almonds, cashews, raisins etc.
Veera and V.K. Stores:
diagonally opposite each other, between them they take care of most of my exotic grocery shopping at 1/3 less than the big grocery chains. Right from cheese, butter, nachos, pasta to shitake mushrooms and sushi rice.
